AQA Global Assessment Services combines expertise from across the AQA group to provide customized end-to-end assessment solutions for education ministries, exam boards, and education providers. The organisation offers comprehensive support in designing, developing, and implementing technical and vocational training programmes through its AQA AlphaPlus project arm and TQUK.

QA Global Assessment Services develops tailored qualifications and apprenticeship programmes to meet specific knowledge, skills, and standards requirements. In academic settings, this may involve syllabus specification, while in vocational and professional contexts, they work with appropriate occupational or professional standards.

Collaborating with sector skills bodies, government agencies, professional bodies, and employers, AQA Global Assessment Services strives to ensure that investments in policy, qualifications, and learning lead to the skills and knowledge needed in various sectors. They have developed over 100 occupational standards to establish industry-wide benchmarks for designing valid qualifications and assessments.

Since 2006, AQA AlphaPlus has been delivering assessment-related training to awarding organisations. Their bespoke programmes are customised to meet individual requirements and typically delivered on-site, emphasising practical activities. Training covers assessment theory and design, item authoring, standard setting, statistical analysis, and accessibility.

The organisation’s team is dedicated to developing and quality-assuring qualifications, assessments, professional standards, skills, and competency frameworks, drawing on global best practices. They engage in benchmarking for clients, comparing approaches of similar professional bodies in other jurisdictions, providing insights across continents and diverse cultures.

AQA Global Assessment Services aims to build teams that can co-create, using international experts working with specialist local educators who understand the specific context. Wherever possible, they facilitate knowledge transfer to the local team to enable ongoing maintenance and development needs.

AQA Global Assessment Services also designs and develops teaching and learning resources, often aligning them with certification delivery. This includes creating lesson plans, identifying necessary resources and skills for effective learning or qualification delivery, and providing student information. Additionally, they support teachers and trainers with their objectives and assist with programme launches.
