Quality Assurance, Leadership and Management Viet Nam
- Establishing need for Quality Assurance Cycle as a whole within several Vietnamese Colleges.
- Training delivered to management and leaders in Vietnam to order to develop a standardised approach to the quality assurance system.
- Focusing on quality assurance process surrounding ‘the learner journey’ and valuing the concept of the ‘learner voice’.
- Comprehensive training sessions delivered in Vietnam detailing useful resources and tools improving the culture and ethos within the Vietnamese organisations.
- These training sessions were designed to focus on sharing best practice and replicating the Coleg y Cymoedd model as to how it gathers learner feedback in order to continuously improve the college facilities, teaching and learning. Focus also on how to capture learner feedback in relation to the quality of teaching and learning and how this is managed by senior management.
- Through an e-platform, colleges in Vietnam were provided with all the necessary tools and resources to assist them in implementing new strategies, policies and procedures and allowed them to have continual desk-based support from Wales, UK.
- This project allowed teachers in these colleges to implement new and creative teaching concepts outside of the norm, thus positively impacting on learners and organisations, creating a conducive learning environment.
- The projects have had a positive impact on all partners enabling them to implement new policies and practices that are relevant and achievable.
- New policies and practices have been implemented and shared with Coleg y Cymoedd to measure their validity and value. This has allowed the colleges in Vietnam to take continuous steps to improve the teaching and learning, quality assurance, leadership and management as well as improve the learner experience.
- Coleg y Cymoedd and the colleges in Vietnam have achieved all project outcomes and deliverables through a strong working ethos and forming excellent relationships.
- As these ISP projects were part of a wider remit with the support of General Department of Vocational Training – Vietnam (GDVT), where the content of training, tools and resources have been disseminated and cascaded to other colleges thus reaching a wider audience, allowing other organisations to benefit from the training received and encouraging networking and internal partnership building within Vietnam.
